When We Change

The other night, I was watching a favorite show of mine, The Avatar series.  At the end of the episode there was an inspirational line I wanted to write about.

"When we've hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change"

After hearing this, I said to myself, what a deep and great message this is! Whatever writer at Nickelodeon wrote this, I say thank you for this gift and inspiration.  This line is a universal truth, a law of life.  Think about it, haven't we all experienced some of our greatest changes, greatest growths, physically, mentally, and spiritually after a low point?

When we hit rock bottom, is when great change occurs. When we go bankrupt, we change our financial habits. When one survives a health scare, we change health habits. When one goes through a bad breakup, we change our mate selection process.

Pain from these low points is the ultimate change agent.  A lot of people go to great lengths to avoid it. I feel when you do this though, you're taking less risks.  Numbing yourself to life and it's great joys. Pain is purposeful. It's purpose to humble, to drive, to lift. I hope everyone will realize the next time one hits a low point, it's just the worlds way of changing you in a better direction.

Thank you again
